Honor Flight

Yesterday, a World War II veteran friend of ours went on the Honor Flight to Washington DC. Their motor coaches arrived back at the Marriott in Columbia about midnight. The Columbia Fire Department brought out a ladder truck and hung a huge flag from it.
A 90-motorcycle escort group joined the buses at Kingdom City. It was a thrilling experience to be part of the "welcome back" group. Patriotism is alive!

In the Todays'Farmer magazine, they had an article about these flights. How cool for you to be part of one of the the welcome back parties!

I'm sure it was emotional too.
