A "MYSTERY" DAY

Yesterday, Ed and I joined a motor coach group for a "mystery" tour. We left Jefferson City at 8:00 am and returned about 6:00 pm.
Our morning adventure was a tour of the Katy Railroad Depot Historic Site in Sedalia. Their museum was quite interesting.
From there, we traveled to Boonville where we had a delicious lunch at Glenn's Cafe in the newly renovated historic Hotel Frederick. The menu was bronzed pork chop, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, hot rolls and warm peach cobbler. Very tasty!
The HIGHLIGHT of our day was a tour of Warm Springs Ranch, home of the Budweiser Clydesdales. This is the world headquarters of the breeding operation where more than 100 Clydesdales live on 300 acres in the rolling hills of Cooper County.
Our final stop was the Russell Stover Candy Store where ice cream cones were a popular snack for many of us.
This was Ed's first mystery trip. Also along were his brother and wife, Jim and JoAnn.

sounds fun! I'm jealous you toured the budweiser farm. You can only get in there with a tour group!
